L32 Kopitiam Handmade Noodles

I have always been a fan of handmade noodles since young and so far till now, I think no other handmade noodles can be compared to the one which my grandma cooked for me since young!

The mister also gotten his car lately and we can go "food-exploring" now, but we have to tighten our spending too as car is off the check-list now, we still have to search for our love-nest and save for wedding. :( Sigh... Living cost in Singapore is indeed high nowadays!

I met the mister quite late for dinner and I'm famished by the time he came to fetch me, I suggest the handmade noodles at Geylang Lorong 32 and there's free parking too. We parked at Lorong 34 and walked over to L32 Kopitiam at Lorong 32. It was full house - we managed to share table with others. The  Kopitiam only sell Handmade noodles and Ngoh Hiang but I think only the Handmade noodles are good because there's waiting time of around 30-40 minutes. They do have a few soup varieties such as pork, chicken, fishballs, meatballs, prawn, fish slice, fish head etc and the price varies. The cheapest is $4 for the pork and chicken varieties while the fishball type cost $4.80, as I only ordered the pork and fishball version. They do have dry version here too!

The opening hours should be from 1pm to 10.30pm but please note that their last orders will be around 9.20pm.

Our noodles took exactly 30 minutes to arrive! The mister was down with sore throat & running nose, yet still bring me for dinner :(

The first thing the mister did was to find the egg because it was his favorite runny egg yolk and he gulped it down like that! :s I followed him and ate the egg yolk too, super delicious! :D I took a sip of the soup and it is so tasty, it must have been boiled for many hours! I took a bite of the you-mian, it was springy and not soggy, I like it! The chilli was spicy & shiok to the max.

While eating halfway, I felt nauseous because I was hungry for too long and could not finish the whole bowl so the bf got to help me to finish up what was left. :p

We love the handmade noodles and will come back again pretty soon, bringing my mum and sister here next time round.

One of the BEST Roti Prata - Sin Ming Roti Prata

Sometimes I have the weirdest cravings at times or in the middle of the night and it is roti prata! It is actually made of flour and is not healthy to have it always. I used to go to Thomson Prata House for prata supper but the standard has dropped so I don't frequent there much now.

I read online and from celebrity's instagram that there is this prata stall in Sin Ming which serves really good prata! My grandma stayed at Blk 22 and great-grandma stayed at Blk 24, yet I did not know there's a prata stall in the coffee shop there!

I went there on a Saturday afternoon and the coffee shop is hidden in one corner of the HDB block.

I did not order the normal gosong or egg prata but ordered their special "coin pratas" instead. It comes in set of 6 at $3.50.

I love dipping roti prata with sugar since childhood. All I can say is this is the best prata I've ever eaten! It is really crispy which I liked! No wonder it is one of the top 10 pratas in Singapore. It will be my top favorite prata place now!

Hualong Fishhead Steamboat (华龙鱼头炉) @ AMK

I believe this tze char stall is quite famous ever since it was featured on the Channel 8 variety show 《煮炒来咯》! You can see the number of crowd every weekend at the coffeeshop.

I have been living in AMK for the past 15 years and this is the only tze char stall which managed to survive for over 10 years! I have my dinner here at least once a week as it is located next to my block.

I have brought friends and ex-colleagues to this tze char stall and they love the food there too! This will be more of a photos post which consolidated some of the dishes I had past years.

哈密瓜虾球 which was featured in the variety show

Sambal La-La

The Special White Bee Hoon

New type of Hor Fun

Claypot Tofu

My favorite is always their kailan with mushroom in oyster sauce! The aunty always said I'm the only customer who orders that. Heehee :p I been eating that for 10 years and never got sick of it. Their hotplate beancurd is also quite different from other tze char stalls. It is more of "chilli" type which is nice.

Since the name is Hualong Fishhead Steamboat, they are of course famous for their fishhead steamboat! I have never been a fan of fishhead steamboat, but I love the promfret fish slices they use for the steamboat! It is very fresh and tasty and I love their soup so much, although my family finds it salty over the years. As long as it is flavourful, I don't mind! :)

They recently came up with the White Bee Hoon dish, and I must say it's kind of different and good. It looks like the fried hokkien mee style but it's actually bee hoon. The smallest portion costs around $6 if I'm not wrong. The aunties there all know me too well already, always know what I will order when they see me. :p

They do take reservations and accept NETS too!
