Gerry's Grill - Philippines Cuisine

I'm never a fan of anything related to Philippines (no offence to any pinoys), my close friends & family would know the reason.

It was KX's birthday so we were giving him a lunch treat and he chose what he has cravings for (his cravings is pretty unique at times :p). We only knew where we are heading to on the day of the treat. He wanted to try Gerry's Grill which is located at Starhub Centre at Cuppage, a place where many of us are not aware of.

We were there pretty early at around 11.45am but it was not open yet, the official opening time is at 12 noon. We loitered around outside the restaurant and taking a look at the menu first, the varieties were mainly meat.

By 12noon, we were all shown to the tables.

It was practically more meat choices in the menu, something which I loved especially pork! :p We ordered a number of meat, fried tofu, kang kong and rice x2 portions to share.

BBQ Pork $9.45

Inihaw na Liempo (Grilled Pork Belly) $11.95

Adobo Puso Rice $7.45

Crispy Pata $23.95

Tokwa't Baboy $8.45

Chicken Chicharon Skin $7.45

Sizzling Kangkong $6.95

Inihaw na Pusit (Grilled Squid) $14.95

All I can say is the food is simply good especially the pork bbq and the grilled pork belly - they are so tender and flavourful. The sizzling kangkong is pretty good as we usually eat kangkong with blachan chilli, but the kangkong here is a sweeter version. The grilled squid is also quite tender too. It is quite an experience for me to try a new cuisine. Since we were giving KX a treat, the 6 of us paid $32 each (if I remembered the cost correctly).
